Meet Brit Parker, our Business Development Specialist. Brit has worked at AmeriChoice for almost 2 years and in that time, she has helped to grow AmeriChoice’s Benefits Plus program, build relationships with local businesses to offer AmeriChoice memberships to employees and visit local schools to promote financial literacy.

Originally from Lancaster, Brit spent some time in St. Thomas, VI as a “wild island child” before returning to Pennsylvania. Brit credits Lancaster for shaping her as who she is today, “Lancaster is a very busy, friendly and diverse setting, so I embrace those things in my life.”

Working at AmeriChoice is much more than the typical 9-5 job for Brit, “I truly care about people and the community I live in” which means you will see Brit out and about at various events in the community before and after typical business hours. Brit spends most of her time “networking, fostering relationships and making sure I professionally meet the high standards that our members and community deserve and expect as a representative of AmeriChoice.”

A major part of Brit’s job is to work with those in the community. She volunteers with various organizations in Central PA including Junior Achievement, West Shore Young Professionals, WeCAN and West Shore Chamber of Commerce. She believes that when you live in a community, you need to be involved and that makes the community stronger.

No two days are ever the same for Brit, which is a part of her job that she really enjoys, “I love my department and all the fun and positivity that each day brings. One day we’re getting ready for a community event and the next night we’re at a fancy event. Every day I learn or experience something new.”
