Nominations for three positions on AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors are now being accepted for a three (3) year term.  The Board consists of nine members who are each elected for a three-year term.  The nominating committee will be considering the following nominee qualifications:

            Member Awareness – Nominees must have sufficient understanding of the financial needs of members to help formulate policies that will satisfy those needs.

            Communication Skills – The ability to communicate and interact with a team of elected and appointed volunteers and staff is essential.

            Time Commitment – Nominees must be willing to commit their personal time to attend meetings, direct the credit union, and work on various committees.

            Credit History – All nominees must have a good credit rating and be bondable

            Ethics – Nominees must avoid all conflicts of interest that could impair their judgment.

            Background – Sufficient education and decision-making abilities are needed.

            Objectivity – Analytical skills to meet members’ needs and objectivity in decision-making are essential.

Interested individuals must be a member of AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union.  Individuals must submit their letter of intent and a brief resume to the Nominating Committee by November 10, 2023.  Nominations should be mailed to:

            Nominations may also be presented by petition and must be signed by one percent of the credit union’s membership, or approximately 146 members.  All petitions must be accompanied by a letter from the nominee stating that they are agreeable to the nomination and will serve if elected.  Petitions must be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Directors no later than December 20, 2023.  Election results for the Board of Directors will be announced at the Credit Union’s Annual Meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at the Credit Union Main Office at 2175 Bumble Bee Hollow Road, Mechanicsburg, PA.
